Benefits - Canadian Traditional Student Awards

Traditional Fulbright student awards are normally granted for a full academic year (nine months) and normally begin in September. The award carries a fixed cash value of US$25,000. Grants may, under exceptional circumstances, be offered for different periods and may be pro-rated accordingly. Grantees are expected to use the award to cover expenses related to their studies and/or research, such as housing, travel, tuition and other academic expenditures. Basic health insurance is provided, along with visa, and other professional services. An integral part of the program includes Fulbright enrichment opportunities, which are available on a competitive basis.
