In May 2026, the current cohort of Killam Fellows met in Washington for the Killam Spring Seminar. Having started this journey as a group in Ottawa in September of 2025, this annual two day capstone event highlighted the program’s commitment to fostering mutual understanding between Canada and the United States. The event included networking opportunities, roundtable discussions, and various cultural excursions, allowing the participants the opportunity to engage with peers and distinguished guests while exploring the U.S. capital.
Among other things, the Killam Fellows will participated in guided tours, historical site visits, and participated in insightful conversations. These experiences reflect the core values of the Killam Fellowships Program: intellectual curiosity, cultural engagement, and lasting cross-border connection.
This flagship seminar continues to strengthen bilateral academic exchange and cultivates a vibrant community of emerging leaders.
