Fulbright Canada Research Chair in Public Diplomacy, University of Southern California
The Center on Public Diplomacy (CPD) at the University of Southern California (USC) invites a dynamic scholar-practitioner to contribute to one of the world’s leading hubs for the practice of public diplomacy. The Fulbright Canada Visiting Research Chair is designed for a mid-career or senior academic and/or professional whose work bridges scholarly inquiry and applied practice. The Chair will conduct research aligned with the CPD’s priorities and play an active role within the Master of Public Diplomacy program through teaching, guest lecturing, or leading a practicum in areas such as digital statecraft, national security, public diplomacy, or related themes. The Chair will be embedded within intellectual life at the center; offering meaningful student engagement through mentorship and professional insight drawn from real-world experience in the public diplomacy sector. This is an opportunity to shape scholarship and practice while engaging directly with the next generation of public diplomacy leaders.
Established in 2003, the USC Center on Public Diplomacy at the Annenberg School is a research, analysis and professional training organization dedicated to furthering the study and practice of global public diplomacy. Since its inception, the Center has become an ambitious and productive leader in the public diplomacy research and scholarship community and has hosted robust discussions about the future of public diplomacy.
